Starting Again, Stitch by Stitch

I didn’t plan for any of this.

Like a lot of turning points, it started with something unexpected… getting laid off. At first, it felt like everything had come to a halt. The routines, the structure, the sense of direction I thought I had, all gone in an instant.

But in that quiet space, something old found its way back to me.

I picked up a needle again.

What started as curiosity (trying embroidery for the first time thanks to bookstagram… but that’s a story for another day) quickly turned into something more. It reminded me how much I love working with my hands, creating something tangible, something slow and intentional. From there, I found my way back to cross stitch, and it felt like reconnecting with a part of myself I didn’t realize I had missed.

And the more I made, the more I realized… I didn’t want this to just be a hobby.

I wanted to build something.

That’s where this idea started: a space of my own. A website where I can share and sell the things I create (cross stitch pieces, patterns, art) and also offer the other creative services I’ve picked up along the way (photography, design, illustration)… all the pieces of me that never really fit into one box before.

This isn’t just about selling things. It’s about creating a place where everything I love doing can exist together.

I don’t have it all figured out yet. I’m still building, still experimenting, still learning what this can become. But for the first time in a while, I feel excited about where I’m going—even if the path looks different than I expected.

So this is the beginning.
